It took us six years, three of which we spent in New Zealand, and two diversions (to Mozart and Schubert) before Eric and I finally managed to get the second volume of the Bach (re)inventions project underway. We met Elisabeth Kufferath at a festival in New Zealand in 2017, and it was a great joy to play a couple of concerts with this program and then record it in Vienna in July 2018. I have always loved good transcriptions of Bach's keyboard music, as it seems to increase the fun listening to the polyphonic genius of these works divided between instruments, just like a conversation of interesting people. The music is, of course, also available now if you want to play it in the same combination or as a string trio.

I am quite sure that this, the fourth, (re)invention recording is not the end of our journey of reimaginations of past works - watch this space! I hope you have as much fun listening to this one as we had recording it.
